Diabetes is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality — in both the young and old alike. Commemorated annually on 14 November, World Diabetes Day is aimed at casting a spotlight on matters of importance to the diabetes community. Through the theme ‘Education To Protect Tomorrow’, the InternationalDiabetes Federation (IDF) wants to focus this year’s campaigns on better access to quality diabetes education for both healthcare professionals and people living with diabetes.
